Novel Info

“It’s dark, don’t go out.” This is an ancestral instruction that has been passed down in the Great Ruins to this day, and no living being is allowed to violate it.

Before darkness descended, the Great Ruins were filled with gods. All kinds of living beings, such as birds, beasts, and humans, thrived under the protection of the gods. Among the many gods, there was a tribe of gods that traveled by boat, only appearing at night. This was the Moon Herding Tribe on the Moon Ship.

Night fell. A full moon quietly hung high in the sky. Suddenly, another full moon appeared. This moon was constantly moving, and its speed was very fast. Looking closely, it was clearly visible that the moon was suspended on a ship, drifting forward with the large ship, which was like a small mountain.

Palaces stood tall on the ship, heavily guarded, and every guard’s brow bore a crescent moon mark, holding a moon-shaped long-handled weapon in their hand.

In the center of the ship’s hull were four tall pillars, wrapped with four chains, the ends of which were tied to the moon.

The full moon emitted a pure light, illuminating the Moon Ship, exuding a mysterious and unpredictable quality.

A burly man in azure armor and a white cloak, holding a giant axe, stood quietly beside the ship’s rail, looking at the dazzling Milky Way.

Suddenly, a crisp voice broke the silence.

“Brother Wu Gang, what are you looking at?”

Wu Gang turned his head to look at the white-haired jade rabbit, who was hopping and running along the ship’s rail, and smiled, “Today’s Milky Way is truly beautiful.”

The white-haired jade rabbit squatted in front of Wu Gang, looking up at the Milky Way.

The silvery long river, like a rainbow, spanned across the entire night sky.

Crystal clear, brilliant, and dazzling.

The white-haired jade rabbit happily chuckled, “Brother Wu Gang, you’ve been looking at it for a thousand years, haven’t you seen enough?”

Wu Gang sighed with emotion, “Such a beautiful sight, even ten thousand years wouldn’t be enough.”

The white-haired jade rabbit laughed, “I didn’t expect Brother Wu Gang to be so leisurely and refined.”

Wu Gang looked at the white-haired jade rabbit and asked with a smile, “Is there something you need?”

The white-haired jade rabbit’s face fell, and she complained, “Can’t I come to play with you even if there’s nothing wrong?”

Seeing the white-haired jade rabbit’s aggrieved look, Wu Gang laughed heartily and comforted her, “Of course you can, whenever Sister Jade Rabbit wants to come, you can always find Brother Wu Gang.”

The white-haired jade rabbit turned from sorrow to joy, happily laughing, “You know Brother Wu Gang is the best. However, I do have something to tell Brother Wu Gang.”

Wu Gang wondered, “What is it?”

The white-haired jade rabbit replied, “Sister Chang’e is about to become the next Moon Guardian.”

Wu Gang showed no joy or sorrow, as if this matter was within his expectations, calmly saying, “Really?”

The white-haired jade rabbit nodded and said, “Absolutely, Sister Chang’e told me herself.”

Wu Gang looked at the brilliant Milky Way, a faint smile appearing at the corner of his mouth, and casually said, “Congratulations to her.”

The white-haired jade rabbit spoke up for him, “Brother Wu Gang, I think you are also qualified to be the Moon Guardian.”

Wu Gang reprimanded, “You shouldn’t say such things.”

The white-haired jade rabbit lowered her head aggrieved.

Wu Gang looked at the white-haired jade rabbit’s aggrieved look, and with a pained heart, he touched her head and comforted her, “Walls have ears, words can cause trouble. It’s better to talk less about the Moon Guardian.”

The white-haired jade rabbit said grievously, “I know Brother Wu Gang is doing this for my own good.”

Wu Gang smiled with relief, then looked up at the brilliant Milky Way. The smile on his face suddenly froze, and he stared intently at the night sky.

The white-haired jade rabbit looked at Brother Wu Gang, whose brows were tightly furrowed and face serious, and wondered, “What’s wrong, Brother Wu Gang?”

Wu Gang didn’t speak, still staring intently at the Milky Way.

The white-haired jade rabbit followed Wu Gang’s gaze.

A small black dot appeared in the brilliant Milky Way. The black dot slowly grew larger. Looking closely, it turned out to be a thick black mist.

A terrifying and eerie aura permeated the air.

The white-haired jade rabbit seemed to think of something, her fur stood on end, and her eyes widened.

Wu Gang roared, “Enemy attack! Enemy attack!”

An urgent bell rang.

The moon suspended on the ship emitted a powerful light. Under the moonlight, the Moon Herders’ bodies rapidly grew taller, becoming giants over twenty feet tall, holding moon-shaped weapons, and firing silver beams of light at the rolling darkness that attacked like a tide.

Boom.

Boom.

Boom.

Loud explosions rang out, and layers of ripples spread through the darkness.

After a brief pause, the darkness attacked even more fiercely.

Surging black mist crashed against the Moon Ship.

The silver energy shield on the ship’s hull blocked the black mist’s attack.

The black mist surged and twisted, transforming into a bull-headed demon, who roared, holding a black giant axe, and fiercely chopped at the Moon Ship.

The white-haired jade rabbit was so frightened that she quickly jumped off the ship and fled towards the palace.

Wu Gang angrily shouted, “Demon, don’t be so arrogant!” The silver light on his giant axe surged, and he bravely went to meet it.

Boom!

Wu Gang transformed into a towering giant god, entangled in a fierce battle with the bull-headed demon.

The battle was stalemated, and neither side could gain the upper hand.

Suddenly.

An eerie demonic chant resounded.

“Qǐ kě duō, sà mó yé, bō rě bō rě sà mó yé…”

The white-haired jade rabbit covered her ears, her face showing a pained expression: “So unpleasant.”

The Moon Herder warriors swayed, their faces filled with pain, and their weapons shook.

Wu Gang’s face changed drastically, and he desperately shouted, “This is a demonic chant! Everyone, cover your ears, don’t listen!”

The bull-headed demon seized the opportunity, swung its giant axe, and chopped at Wu Gang’s head.

Wu Gang held his axe horizontally in front of him, trying his best to block.

Due to the impact of the demonic chant, his mind was shaken, and under the bull-headed demon’s powerful attack, Wu Gang was defeated, retreating repeatedly.

Having gained an advantage, the bull-headed demon roared, wildly triumphant.

In the nick of time.

A serene and majestic divine sound emanated from the palace.

“Yī pò xiū pò sǎ nán jūn hé xī, guān míng duān jìng wú sī jiāng yóu…”

The voice was clear and loud, like the light emitted by the moon, echoing wave after wave from the palace.

The white-haired jade rabbit happily exclaimed, “It’s Sister Chang’e!”

A woman in splendid clothes, with a sash draped over her shoulders and a beautiful face, gracefully walked out of the grand hall, stood at the entrance of the grand hall, looked at the black mist surging from all directions, and muttered continuously, with divine sounds constantly erupting.

Divine sounds and demonic sounds clashed, constantly engaging in battle.

The demons in the black mist seemed enraged, constantly speeding up their speech and intensifying their demonic chants.

Fast as lightning, lashing the soul, heavy as thunder, captivating the mind and spirit.

Fairy Chang’e’s body glowed brightly, her body rapidly grew taller, and she also sped up her speech, intensifying her divine chants.

The divine sounds and demonic sounds were like tangible waves, one higher than the last, fiercely attacking each other, trying to devour the other.

The black mist surged wildly, and demons from all directions frantically rushed forward, trying to completely destroy the Moon Ship.

The Moon Ship, which had been surrounded by darkness, suddenly glowed brightly.

The moon suspended on the Moon Ship emitted an unprecedented silver light.

The light was like arrows, resisting the encroaching darkness.

A heavy voice, like a grand bell, emanated from the depths of the palace.

“Presumptuous!”

The sound was like thunder, shaking the soul.

The Moon Herders were greatly invigorated, and they rejoiced in their hearts, “It’s the Moon Guardian! The great Moon Guardian has finally appeared!”

A huge phantom over twenty-five feet tall emerged from the palace, hovering above the palace.

With knotted beard, frosted white hair, and two divine eyes like the brilliant Milky Way, he opened his mouth and shouted, “You demons, how dare you attack the Moon Ship? You are truly reckless and courting death!”

The darkness surged wildly, condensing into a gigantic skeletal demon god as tall as a mountain, raising a massive dark demonic sword, and fiercely slashing downwards diagonally.

The Moon Guardian pushed his right hand forward, and a dazzling silver light surged, actually condensing a moon-like disc, blocking the demonic sword’s attack.

“Retreat!” the Moon Guardian roared loudly, his divine sound mighty, and the silver disc in his hand glowed brightly, forcing back the darkness with overwhelming force.

The darkness, unable to resist, quietly retreated.

Everything returned to calm, and the Moon Ship once again sailed along its predetermined trajectory.

The white-haired jade rabbit came before Wu Gang, still trembling with fear, “You scared me to death.”

Wu Gang resumed his normal human form, patted the white-haired jade rabbit’s head, and comforted her, “Don’t be afraid, everyone is here.”

The white-haired jade rabbit blinked her eyes, looking in the direction where the darkness had retreated, and wondered, “Why are the dark incursions becoming more and more frequent lately, endless?”

Wu Gang looked up at the Milky Way, worried, “I noticed that a long time ago.”

A flash of inspiration struck the white-haired jade rabbit, and she said, “Let’s ask the great Moon Guardian, he might know the answer.”

Wu Gang stopped her, “The Moon Guardian just repelled the Heavenly Demon, his divine power is depleted, it’s not suitable to disturb him now.”

The white-haired jade rabbit lowered her head, hesitated for a moment, then looked up and smiled, “How about we ask Sister Chang’e? She must know.”

Wu Gang persuaded, “Everyone just went through a big battle, their divine power is depleted, they all need rest. Let’s ask another day.”

The white-haired jade rabbit compromised, “Alright.” Her red eyes darted about, glancing at Wu Gang, who was holding an axe. She recalled the scene where he had just displayed his celestial form and bravely fought the Heavenly Demon, praising him, “Brother Wu Gang, you looked so valiant when you were fighting the demon just now. I truly admire you!”

Wu Gang smiled, proudly saying, “As members of the Moon Herding Tribe, we steer the Moon Ship to repel the Heavenly Demons and guard the Great Ruins.”

The white-haired jade rabbit hopped to the ship’s rail, looked down at the vast land below, and praised, “The Great Ruins are truly beautiful, especially the Surging River, it’s like a giant dragon lying across the surface of the Great Ruins.”

Wu Gang put away his giant axe, walked over, looked down at the land, and said in a deep voice, “The Surging River is like a benevolent mother, nurturing many Dragon Kings, including the Surging River Dragon King, the Celestial Well Dragon King, the Sea Eye Dragon King, and also the Dragon King Star Palace.”

The white-haired jade rabbit asked, “Those Dragon Kings must be very powerful, right?”

Wu Gang nodded, “Since they are Dragon Kings, they naturally have the power to control clouds and rain, and to seize the fortune of heaven and earth.”

The white-haired jade rabbit asked, “If that’s the case, why don’t they fight against the darkness with us? That way, we could also reduce a lot of pressure.”

Wu Gang said earnestly, “Gods have their own duties, and they cannot act recklessly, otherwise, they will disrupt the Dao of Heaven and inevitably incur divine punishment.”

The white-haired jade rabbit shrugged, scared, “Is it that serious?”

Wu Gang forced a smile and explained, “The Dao of Heaven is majestic and cannot be defied.”

The white-haired jade rabbit seemed to understand but not fully, she paused for a moment, then suddenly remembered something and said, “It’s like the Moon Ship and the Sun Ship, one is only allowed to travel during the day, and the other is only allowed to travel at night, and they can never meet.”

Wu Gang nodded, “That’s right.”

The white-haired jade rabbit rested her two front paws on her chin, murmuring, “I heard the Sun Ship has twenty-four legs and pulls the sun around. I wonder when I’ll get to see it with my own eyes.”

Wu Gang touched the white-haired jade rabbit’s head, smiled, and comforted her, “You’ll see it when the time is right.”

Moon Palace.

Chang’e looked at the Moon Guardian seated on the moon throne, neither humble nor arrogant, saying, “My Lord, the dark incursions have become more frequent recently, and the power of the Heavenly Demons is growing stronger. I fear there might be an anomaly.”

The Moon Guardian’s expression was solemn, “All signs indicate that a natural disaster is coming.”

Chang’e’s face changed, and she said in surprise, “Natural disaster?”

The Moon Guardian nodded, “Currently, the divine race is weak, and the demonic race is strong. We must, while the demonic race has not yet fully risen, unite with the other divine races to annihilate the demonic race in one fell swoop, once and for all, to eliminate future troubles.”

Chang’e worried, “What my Lord says is true, but the divine races have always governed themselves separately since ancient times. To unite against the demons might not be an easy task.”

The Moon Guardian said in a deep voice, “Though the road is long, action will lead to arrival. Though the task is difficult, doing it will lead to success. As long as we are determined, we can eventually unite all the divine races.”

Upon hearing this, Chang’e no longer delved into the topic and changed the subject, saying, “After several months of dark incursions, the Moon Ship has been damaged. Should we go to Carefree Village and ask a divine craftsman to forge and repair the damage?”

The Moon Guardian pondered for a moment and said, “Carefree Village is mysterious and unpredictable, its whereabouts are uncertain, and it has no fixed entrance. How easy would it be to enter?”

Chang’e worried, “Darkness frequently invades, and each time it’s stronger than the last. If the Moon Ship were to be damaged, the consequences would be unimaginable.”

Upon hearing this, the Moon Guardian took out a jade pendant from his怀 and said seriously, “This is a jade pendant from Carefree Village. It can guide us to Carefree Village.”

Chang’e’s face lit up, “That’s great!”

The Moon Guardian threw the jade pendant.

Chang’e took the jade pendant, as if she had found a treasure, and happily said, “As long as we find Carefree Village, we can repair the Moon Ship. By then, even if there are more demons, we won’t be afraid.”

The Moon Guardian said in a deep voice, “The important task of finding Carefree Village is entrusted to you. Go and return quickly.”

Chang’e nodded, “I will not fail in my mission.”

The white-haired jade rabbit hopped and skipped, going to find Sister Chang’e.

Suddenly.

The three-legged golden toad on duty at the palace gate spoke in human tongue, “Little rabbit, your Sister Chang’e is leaving.”

The white-haired jade rabbit wondered, “Leaving? Leaving for where?”

The three-legged golden toad deliberately teased her, jokingly, “Kiss me, and I’ll tell you.”

The three-legged golden toad opposite them laughed excitedly.

The white-haired jade rabbit rolled her eyes and cursed, “Shameless, too lazy to bother with you.”

Seeing the other party about to leave, the three-legged golden toad quickly softened its tone, “Don’t be angry, I was just teasing you, little white rabbit, come back quickly.”

The white-haired jade rabbit turned her head and cursed, “Stinky toad, who’s teasing you? And I’m not a little white rabbit, I’m Fairy Jade Rabbit.”

The three-legged golden toad licked its face and said with a smile, “Fairy Jade Rabbit.”

This compliment made the white-haired jade rabbit feel comfortable and happy, and her previous resentment immediately vanished.

The three-legged golden toad saw the other party’s expression soften and giggled, “Not angry anymore, Fairy Jade Rabbit?”

The white-haired jade rabbit snorted, dissatisfied, “Who said I’m not angry? Quickly, tell me, where is Chang’e going?”

The two three-legged golden toads exchanged glances.

Seeing their hesitation, the white-haired jade rabbit urged, “If you don’t tell me, I’m leaving.”

The three-legged golden toad hastily said, “I’ll tell you, Lord Moon Guardian has ordered Fairy Chang’e to find Carefree Village.”

The white-haired jade rabbit murmured, “Carefree Village? What kind of place is that?”

The three-legged golden toad said, “I heard that place can repair the damage on the Moon Ship.”

The white-haired jade rabbit was puzzled, “Repair the Moon Ship?” She looked up at the full moon hanging at the stern of the large ship, wondering in her heart, “How come I didn’t know the Moon Ship was damaged?” She turned to look at the three-legged golden toad, pointed at its nose, and asked, “Are you tricking me?”

The three-legged golden toad said with a conciliatory smile, “How dare we trick Fairy Jade Rabbit? If you don’t believe me, you can go ask Fairy Chang’e.”

The white-haired jade rabbit paused, then asserted, “I’ll go then.” With that, she hopped away.

The spacious palace was simply and elegantly decorated, devoid of noise, peaceful and quiet, befitting Fairy Chang’e’s cold and detached nature.

The white-haired jade rabbit pushed open the palace gate, poked her head inside, looked around, and whispered, “Sister Chang’e, Sister Chang’e.”

No one responded.

The white-haired jade rabbit squeezed in sideways, lightly and stealthily closed the palace door. Just as she turned around, a cool voice sounded.

“What are you doing, being so sneaky?”

The white-haired jade rabbit was so scared that she jumped, leaping three feet high. Leaning against the palace door, she turned her head to look at Fairy Chang’e standing in front of her, grinning, “Sister Chang’e, how can you be so unpredictable? That sound just now, it almost scared me to death, my little heart almost popped out.”

Fairy Chang’e said in mock anger, “I haven’t even asked what you’re doing being sneaky, and you’re already accusing me, turning the tables, and blaming me instead!”

The white-haired jade rabbit giggled, “I haven’t seen Sister Chang’e lately, and I missed you very much, so I wanted to come and see. I just experienced a dark invasion, and I wanted to see if Sister Chang’e was injured.”

Fairy Chang’e looked at the white-haired jade rabbit’s playful antics, and she burst out laughing. She then said seriously, “Thank you for your concern, I’m perfectly fine, not injured at all.”

The white-haired jade rabbit patted her chest, exhaled a long breath of relief with satisfaction, and said with a sense of release, “Thank goodness, good people are always blessed by heaven. I knew Sister Chang’e would be fine.”

Fairy Chang’e got back to the point, “You’ve been circling around for a long time, tell me, what is it really about?”

The white-haired jade rabbit truthfully asked, “I heard that Sister Chang’e is going to look for Carefree Village.”

Fairy Chang’e teased, “I didn’t expect your news to be so well-informed, that you’d know so quickly.”

The white-haired jade rabbit proudly said, “Of course! On this ship, there’s nothing I don’t know.”

Fairy Chang’e was amused by her old-fashioned demeanor and admonished her, “You’re a little devil.”

The white-haired jade rabbit retorted, “I’m over a hundred years old! If I were in the human world, I’d be a great-grandmother. Sister Chang’e, don’t always treat me like a child.”

Fairy Chang’e extended her index finger and tapped the white-haired jade rabbit’s nose, smiling, “You do have quite the demeanor. It seems you’ve grown a lot during this time.”

Hearing Sister Chang’e’s praise, the white-haired jade rabbit put her hands on her hips and happily chuckled, “One must look at a scholar with new eyes after three days apart. Sister Chang’e, you can’t use old perspectives to judge people anymore.”

Fairy Chang’e dotingly said, “Alright, alright, I won’t use old perspectives to judge people. From now on, I’ll treat you as a great-grandmother.”

The white-haired jade rabbit’s face fell, and she argued, “I’m not that old.”

Fairy Chang’e looked at the white-haired jade rabbit’s embarrassed expression and chuckled, “I won’t tease you anymore. Seriously, about me going to Carefree Village, don’t spread it around.”

The white-haired jade rabbit covered her mouth and shook her head, “I won’t say a word, not even a single character.”

Fairy Chang’e squatted down, rubbed the white-haired jade rabbit’s head, and gently said, “If there’s nothing else, please go back. I need to rest.”

The white-haired jade rabbit watched as Sister Chang’e stood up to leave and blurted out, “Can I accompany you to Carefree Village?”

Fairy Chang’e refused without hesitation, “No, this journey will be obscure and unpredictable, and there might be demon attacks along the way. You’ll be safer on the Moon Ship.”

The white-haired jade rabbit pleaded, “I want to stay with Sister Chang’e.”

Fairy Chang’e looked at the white-haired jade rabbit’s sincere expression, smiled with tenderness, and comforted her, “Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon.” She waved her hand, and the palace door automatically opened: “Go now.”

The white-haired jade rabbit reluctantly turned, stepped over the threshold, exited the grand hall, turned to look at Fairy Chang’e, and said with concern, “Sister Chang’e, please rest well.”

Fairy Chang’e nodded, flicked her sleeve, and the palace door closed again.

She hurried away, leaped up, sat cross-legged on the cold jade bed, and repeatedly tapped her chest a few times with her hands. A trickle of fresh blood escaped the corner of her mouth, and she was shocked in her heart: “I didn’t expect the demonic race to be so terrifyingly powerful. I must find Carefree Village as soon as possible and repair the Moon Ship, otherwise, the consequences will be unimaginable.”

Three days later.

Fairy Chang’e left in a hurry, embarking on her journey to find Carefree Village alone.

Soon after.

Darkness attacked again. This time, it wasn’t just the Moon Ship, but even the Great Ruins were engulfed by darkness.

The Moon Herding Tribe resisted fiercely. Although they repelled the darkness, the frequency of dark attacks increased, and the Heavenly Demons became more terrifying, until the time of the Dark Moon.

Darkness descended with an even more violent offensive than before. Ink-black darkness surged from all directions, and countless Heavenly Demons roared, attacking the Moon Ship without restraint.

The Moon Herders held their weapons, firing beams of light that impacted the darkness.

Wu Gang unleashed his Dharma Form of Heaven and Earth, wielding his giant axe, and fought two bull-headed demons.

The white-haired jade rabbit watched Wu Gang gradually fall into a disadvantage, fear welling up in her heart, turning into anger. She shouted, “Brother Wu Gang, I’m coming to help you!” With a wave of her hand, a pestle flew over, and her body swelled rapidly, flying into the sky to join the battle.

Wu Gang gasped, “Dangerous! Go back quickly!”

The white-haired jade rabbit withstood the demon’s attack and seized the opportunity to say, “With darkness attacking, where else can I hide?”

Upon hearing this, Wu Gang was stunned. Veins protruded on his forehead, and he loudly shouted, “We’ll fight side by side and kill these beasts!”

The battle grew more intense, and even the three-legged golden toad on duty in the palace had to join the fight.

Thick darkness enveloped the moon suspended on the Moon Ship. The originally bright full moon was now unrecognizable.

The black mist surged wildly, transforming into a massive skeletal demon that obscured the sky and moon, looking down at the Moon Ship, which was like a toy below it, and triumphantly chuckled, “Today, the Moon Ship will cease to exist!” It clapped its two large hands towards the Moon Ship below.

“Stop!” The Moon Guardian’s Dharma Form appeared from the palace, clenching both fists, and punched upwards.

With a muffled boom.

The Dharma Form shattered, and the Moon Guardian, unable to resist, was forced back into the palace.

The skeletal Heavenly Demon laughed wildly, “The Moon Ship will cease to exist! No one can stop it!” It chanted a demonic spell: “Qǐ kě duō, sà mó yé, bō rě bō rě sà mó yé…”

This time, the demonic sound was incredibly powerful, and its deterrent force was immense.

Wu Gang, the white-haired jade rabbit, the Moon Herders, and the three-legged golden toad all became mentally disoriented, their movements sluggish.

The demons seized this momentary gap and launched a surprise attack.

Wu Gang was cut in half at the waist, the white-haired jade rabbit’s head was chopped off, the Moon Herders’ bodies were torn apart, and the three-legged golden toad was directly transformed into a two-legged golden toad.

The white-haired jade rabbit’s mouth weakly whispered, “Chang’e… Sister…”

Darkness swallowed them, instantly obliterating their flesh and blood, corroding their bones, and turning everything into nothingness.

Just as the darkness was about to completely engulf the Moon Ship.

The Moon Guardian’s Dharma Form reappeared above the palace, roaring angrily, “Don’t even think about it!” He let out a loud roar, and solid, terrifying sound waves repelled the darkness, and the Moon Ship glowed brightly once more.

The skeletal Heavenly Demon sneered, “Ants struggling.”

Without another word, the Moon Guardian steered the Moon Ship, fleeing in the direction away from the darkness.

The skeletal Heavenly Demon raged, “Don’t think about escaping!”

He fled, it pursued, he had no escape.

The skeletal Heavenly Demon, carrying endless darkness, quickly caught up to the Moon Ship and spat out a terrifying demonic orb.

The Moon Guardian pushed both hands forward, using the power of the moon to resist the demonic orb’s attack.

Boom!

An earth-shattering explosion rang out, and terrifying giant waves swept in all directions.

The Moon Ship was blown by this energy wave into the Realm of the Deceased.

The Moon Guardian, like a candle in the wind, looked at the half-moon that remained, his face ashen, his body went limp, his Dharma Form shattered, and his physical body collapsed onto the ship, completely devoid of life.

Fairy Chang’e, guided by the jade pendant, finally found Carefree Village. Just as she was about to step into this mysterious realm.

Space tore apart, and a voice filled with infinite pressure came through: “Quick, take the child and leave!” A baby in swaddling clothes was thrown out.

Fairy Chang’e caught the infant, and the terrifying force directly shattered her internal organs, forcing her to retreat rapidly as if traversing through the void, all the way back to the Great Ruins’ Surging River.

Fairy Chang’e looked at the sleeping infant in her arms, her body trembling uncontrollably, her own life force continuously draining away.

She found a discarded wooden basin, painstakingly placed the infant into it, and at the same time, placed the jade pendant on the infant’s chest. She then spoke word by word, “Child, you will surely find Carefree Village.” Her body went limp, and she fell into the Surging River. The wooden basin drifted with the current, and Fairy Chang’e’s right hand tightly gripped the edge of the basin, drifting further and further with the river water.
