Although the Alloy Exoskeleton Gloves weren’t very large, they would still be quite noticeable if exposed. So, he deliberately wrapped them in white coarse linen, making them look like a bandage, so others wouldn’t notice.

“Hahaha, little boy, your hands are all wrapped in coarse linen. Are you afraid I’ll chop off your hands?” Seeing Luo Lan walk out with a strange appearance, Botu couldn’t help but mock.

Hearing this, Luo Lan retorted, “I just don’t want to directly touch your blood. This duel today is either your death or mine. There’s no winning or losing, only life or death!!!”

“Hmph, good. I don’t want you, this little bastard, to live in this world either. Your father used despicable means to beat me back then, making me suffer years of oppression. Today, I will make you pay for his debt. Go to hell and reunite with your father!”

Botu said coldly, then gripped his greatsword and charged towards Luo Lan.

Botu was indeed the strongest warrior in the tribe, besides Luo Lan’s father, in the previous generation. His speed was incredibly fast. Like a leopard, he rushed in front of Luo Lan, and his greatsword immediately struck towards Luo Lan’s face.

Seeing this, Luo Lan’s expression was grave. He gripped the long sword in his hand and parried it above his head, instantly clashing with Botu’s greatsword.

The powerful impact immediately sent sparks flying, looking incredibly terrifying.

Although humans in this world were the weakest in physique among all races, they were still much stronger than humans in Luo Lan’s previous world.

If he hadn’t been wearing the Alloy Exoskeleton Gloves, Luo Lan might not have easily blocked this strike.

“Oh, little boy’s strength has increased quite a bit! Truly eye-opening! I just wonder if you can block the next strike!!”

A hint of surprise flashed in Botu’s eyes, then he continued to sneer.

With that, he twisted his strong waist, changed the direction of his greatsword, and swung it horizontally towards Luo Lan’s neck, at an incredibly tricky angle.

However, Luo Lan was no pushover. He quickly stepped back with both feet, narrowly avoiding Botu’s horizontal slash.

Immediately after, he gripped his long sword and took the initiative to attack, slashing down at Botu!

Looking at the fiercely approaching long sword, Botu sneered, not putting it in his eyes at all.

He raised his greatsword to block, intending to parry Luo Lan’s heavy slash.

But what he never expected was that the moment his greatsword clashed with Luo Lan’s strike, he felt an unimaginable force assail him, making him unable to parry.

The greatsword, parried above his head, was slammed down, heavily striking his forehead, making him dizzy and stumble back a few steps.

“H-how… how is this possible!! How can your strength be so great!!”

Touching his forehead, which was red and swollen from being hit by his own sword’s blunt side, Botu’s face was horrified, as if he was seeing Luo Lan for the first time.

“It’s too late to be scared now! Die!”

Luo Lan roared, leaping high like a fierce tiger, then gripped his long sword with both hands and slashed down fiercely again.

His speed was incredibly fast. Botu couldn’t react in time and instinctively raised his sword to block.

But this time, Luo Lan used all his strength, so how could Botu possibly withstand it?

Not only did he fail to block, but the greatsword in his hand also broke into two pieces under Luo Lan’s powerful blow.

Instantly, Luo Lan’s long sword continued its downward trajectory, slashing into Botu’s shoulder. Blood spurted out, and excruciating pain immediately spread throughout Botu’s body, making him shriek miserably.

Luo Lan showed no mercy. He flipped his hand, twisted it, and pulled the long sword horizontally with a fierce tug.

Botu’s head rolled to the ground like a ball, the scene looking extremely bloody.

Watching Botu’s head roll to the ground like a ball, a group of tribesmen were collectively startled.

However, they had been fighting orcs for years and had seen plenty of bloody scenes, so within a short while, everyone regained their composure.

Not only that, but a group of tribal warriors all showed expressions of shock, and their gaze towards Luo Lan was instantly filled with awe.

The chief’s struggle was their tribe’s rule, a duel to the death. They all knew this.

Throughout the years, it had always been fierce, but never before had it been as tragic as today.

To actually cut off the opponent’s head on the spot was extremely rare!

However, rare as it was, it didn’t violate the rules.

So, everyone had nothing to say. The only thing they could do was submit to the might of Luo Lan, the newly appointed chief.

“Chief above, tribesman Artu vows to follow the Chief to the death, to go through fire and water for the Chief!”

Just then, a young man wrapped in bandages immediately knelt before Luo Lan and swore allegiance.

Hearing this, Luo Lan shifted his gaze, then smiled and nodded.

Luo Lan was very familiar with this young man named Artu. This was his childhood friend, his good friend, and his former personal guard.

However, in the battle with the orc tribe, he was severely wounded and had been unable to move until yesterday when he could finally get out of bed and walk.

He was also exceptionally loyal to Luo Lan, being the person Luo Lan trusted most besides Weir.

It was no surprise that he was the first to step forward and support Luo Lan at this moment.

And because of his lead, a group of tribesmen immediately knelt down together, calling Luo Lan “Chief.”

Even the few warriors who had originally stood on Bohr’s side had no choice but to kneel and respectfully address Luo Lan as Chief.

Seeing this, Luo Lan nodded with satisfaction.

His first goal in this world was achieved. The next step was to thoroughly reorganize their tribe.

Although their tribe only had about a hundred people, there were still those with ulterior motives.

The most obvious among them were Botu’s son, Bohr, and his few confidantes.

Although they seemed to be submitting to him now, no one knew what they were truly thinking in their hearts.

And he was just starting out, at the most crucial time.

He wouldn’t allow any known risks to exist around him. If it was a risk, it had to be eradicated. Better to kill by mistake than to let one go!

As he thought this, his gaze fell upon Loa, who was lying on the ground.

“Loa, just now Botu said that the trap you set in the forest was triggered. Is that true?”

Loa hadn’t fully recovered from Bohr’s death yet. Now, suddenly hearing Luo Lan question him, he was startled and his legs went weak.

After he heard Luo Lan’s question clearly, he couldn’t help but secretly lament.

They had indeed set traps in the forest, but they hadn’t checked them today, so how would he know if the trap had actually been triggered or not!

The reason he said that earlier was entirely at Botu’s instruction.

Botu wanted to use that excuse to punish Luo Lan and also steal his prey.

But now, things had gone wrong. Not only did they not steal the prey, but Botu himself had died.

What was he to do now?

Luo Lan asking this clearly meant he wasn’t going to let him off!

This was the end!
